Brave New Wonders Command Cheat Sheet
Copy plain-text prompts for Movers, Miners, signals, and patrols.
Welcome to the Tools Hub — a practical command cheat sheet for Brave New Wonders. Automatons follow plain-text instructions (any supported language) that the behaviour editor turns into a visual graph. There is no conveyor-belt tool palette; your prompts are the logistics toolkit. Pair these examples with Text Commands, Automation, Controls, and priority advice on the Tier List Hub.
How to use this page: copy a prompt, replace placeholder names with your real map destinations (Warehouse Alpha, Ore Pit North, Turret Line West, Wonder Pad), generate the behaviour, inspect the nodes, then run one automaton before you blueprint-stamp a fleet. Presets are fine for the happy path; graduate to these lines when you need order, conditions, or signals.
Prompt writing rules of thumb
- Speak in ordered steps: move, pick up, move, deposit.
- Prefer concrete item names you actually produce.
- Add signal conditions only after the unconditional loop works.
- Keep one job per automaton early.
- If the graph looks wrong, simplify the sentence — do not add more adjectives.
Move between A, B, and C
Use ordered stops when a Mover must visit multiple buildings without improvising.
Move to Warehouse Alpha, pick up copper plates, move to Assembler Row, deposit copper plates, then move to Warehouse Alpha and repeat.
Move between Ore Pit North, Smelter West, and Warehouse Alpha in order. At Ore Pit North pick up raw ore if empty-handed. At Smelter West deposit raw ore. At Warehouse Alpha deposit any refined plates you are carrying, then repeat.
Patrol the path Warehouse Alpha → Factory Gate → Warehouse Alpha. Pick up intermediate components at Factory Gate when the warehouse has fewer than 50 components, otherwise travel empty and recheck.
Tune thresholds after you watch a few cycles. For transfer clicking while you seed inventories manually, see Controls.
Mining loops
Miners should stay boring and busy. Match prompts to the inputs you actually need first — see Resources if you are unsure which vein to prioritise.
Mine at Ore Pit North until inventory is full, move to Warehouse Alpha, deposit all ore, return to Ore Pit North, and repeat.
Extract crystal at Crystal Vein East. When full, deposit at Warehouse Alpha. If Warehouse Alpha is full, wait nearby until space opens, then deposit and resume mining.
Mine at Ore Pit North. Prefer depositing at Warehouse Alpha. If Warehouse Alpha is unreachable, deposit at Emergency Cache South instead, then resume mining.
Keep combat off the Miner’s job list. If old machines pressure the pit, assign separate defense logistics (Defense).
Signal-based ammo delivery
Turrets without ammo are sculptures. Gate couriers on colours. For theory beyond these templates, see Signals; when the loop is proven, stamp it via Blueprints.
When a RED signal is detected at Turret Line West, move to Warehouse Alpha, pick up ammo, move to Turret Line West, deposit ammo, then return to Warehouse Alpha and wait for the next RED signal.
Watch Turret Line West. If the signal is RED, deliver ammo from Warehouse Alpha until the signal is no longer RED. If the signal is GREEN, idle at the warehouse staging area.
When RED is active at Turret Line West or Turret Line East, pick up ammo at Warehouse Alpha and deposit at the turret line showing RED. Prefer the closer line if both are RED.
Right-click stack splitting helps you seed towers before the AI loop takes over. Promote this pattern once basic shuttles work — it is high on the Tier List Hub.
Signal-based fuel and Wonder restock
The airship Wonder loves fuel discipline before island hops (Wonders).
When the Wonder shows a RED signal for low fuel, move to Warehouse Alpha, pick up a fusion cell, move to the Wonder, deposit the fusion cell, then return to Warehouse Alpha and monitor the signal again.
If the Wonder signal is RED, deliver fusion cells from Warehouse Alpha to the Wonder until the signal clears. Do not carry unrelated items during this job.
Conditional warehouse restock
Factories stall when inputs hit zero unnoticed.
When Warehouse Alpha signals RED for low copper plates, pick up copper plates from Smelter West output and deposit them at Warehouse Alpha until the signal clears.
Move to General Factory, pick up crystal compound when Warehouse Alpha shows RED, deposit crystal compound at Warehouse Alpha, then wait for the next RED signal.
If Warehouse Alpha inventory of ammo falls below 100, craft-fed Movers should pick up ammo from Ammo Bench and deposit at Warehouse Alpha until count exceeds 200, then idle at staging.
Adjust numbers to your scale. The point is threshold thinking, not magic constants.
Patrol and scouting helpers
Exploration still happens between automation cycles.
Patrol between Gate North, Ruin Overlook, and Gate North. Report back to Warehouse Alpha if inventory picks up relic items, deposit relics, then resume patrol.
Move to Ruin Overlook, pick up any salvageable components, return to Warehouse Alpha, deposit salvage, and repeat every cycle unless a RED combat signal is active at Gate North — then deliver ammo to Gate North first.
Do not expect patrol robots to replace turret coverage. They complement Islands scouting while your core yard runs.
Multi-item courier templates
From Warehouse Alpha, deliver iron plates to Assembler Row and copper plates to Cable Bench. Carry only one item type per trip. Repeat starting with whichever bench inventory is lower.
Shuttle empty barrels from Refinery Drain to Warehouse Alpha, then shuttle filled fluid drums from Warehouse Alpha to Refinery Intake. Never mix barrel types in one trip.
Debugging checklist for any prompt
- Do map-picked destinations still exist after a rebuild?
- Does the unit have space to pick up?
- Is the drop target full?
- Did you ask for two jobs that fight (mine and long-range ammo)?
- Does the graph show the condition you think you wrote?
If demos-to-1.0 muscle memory conflicts with new buildings, skim Updates. For the wider pitch and review framing, see Wiki overview. Beginners should still start with Getting Started before pasting half this page into twenty robots.
Suggested starter kit (copy in order)
- Miner loop into Warehouse Alpha.
- Simple A↔B Mover for ore or plates.
- RED ammo restock for one turret line.
- RED fuel restock for the Wonder when unlocked.
- Ordered A→B→C only when two-stop shuttles are stable.
This Tools Hub will grow with more calculators or reference tables later; today the highest-value “tool” is a sentence your automaton cannot misread. Keep prompts short, destinations real, and signals honest — then let blueprints multiply the winners.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Pioneer questions.
Can I paste these commands exactly?
Use them as templates. Replace placeholder location names with destinations you select on your map, then verify the generated behaviour graph.
Do commands require a programming language?
No. Write plain instructions. The editor parses them into actions and conditions. Presets and manual graph editing remain available.
Why did my signal command do nothing?
Confirm the building actually emits the colour you named, the automaton references that building, and the happy-path move/pick/deposit steps work without the condition.
Where should I go after this cheat sheet?
